Dear DOWN to Earth families,
I was talking to Sharron Oberkrieser today and telling her that I am planning to take Ellie to the Waisman Center in Madison to the Communication Aids and Systems Clinic (CASC). They will be doing an evaluation to see what, if any, assistive technology might help her with her communication. She does talk and signs quite a few signs, but her peers and teachers are having some trouble understanding her when she voluntarily offers spoken word. Sharon asked me to get her the information about this clinic, and I thought I'd just share it with all of you. http://www.waisman.wisc.edu/cedd/Cs.php?page=clinics&sec=casc#jump Ann Freid DOWN to Earth Volunteer Facilitator/Parent [email protected] Council on Special Education Public Forum (11-14-11)
